چکیده
Context. Collecting a large variety of exoplanetary atmosphere measurements is crucial to improve our understanding exoplanets. In this context, it likely that the field would benefit from broad species surveys, particularly using transit spectroscopy, which most successful technique characterization so far. Aims: Our goal develop model-unbiased spectroscopy analyze every qualified atomic spectral line in data, and search for relative absorption, is, decrease flux when planet transiting. Methods: We analyzed archive data HDS at Subaru, HIRES Keck, UVES VLT, HARPS LaSilla test survey methodology. It first filtered individual lines by noise levels. also corrected offsets telluric contamination. methodology performed an analysis along time wavelength. The latter employed bootstrap corroboration. Results: highlight possible detections Mn I V II HD 209459b taken Subaru ($5.9\sigma$ 5916.4 $\angstrom$, $5.1\sigma$ 6021.8 $\angstrom$). previous detection Ca same classified as inconclusive algorithm, but we support Sc ($3.5\sigma$ 6604.6 I, II, Ti 189733 VLT ($4.4\sigma$ $6572.8 \angstrom$, $6.8\sigma$ $6604.6 $3.5\sigma$ $5910.1 \angstrom$), addition Al WASP-74b ($5.6 \sigma$ $6696.0 \angstrom$).

Exoplanetary Atmospheres—Chemistry, Formation Conditions, and Habitability
Characterizing the atmospheres of extrasolar planets is the new frontier in exoplanetary science. The last two decades of exoplanet discoveries have revealed that exoplanets are very common and extremely diverse in their orbital and bulk properties. We now enter a new era as we begin to investigate the chemical diversity of exoplanets, their atmospheric and interior processes, and their formati...
متن کاملTOWARDS CHARACTERIZATION OF EXOPLANETARY ATMOSPHERES WITH THE VLT INTERFEROMETER V. Joergens and A. Quirrenbach
The direct observation of extrasolar planets and their spectra is coming into reach with the new generation of ground-based near-IR interferometers, like the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI). The high contrast between star and planet requires an excellent calibration of atmospheric distortions. Proposed techniques are the observation of color-differential or closure phases. The differ...
متن کاملReflections on O2 as a Biosignature in Exoplanetary Atmospheres
Oxygenic photosynthesis is Earth's dominant metabolism, having evolved to harvest the largest expected energy source at the surface of most terrestrial habitable zone planets. Using CO2 and H2O-molecules that are expected to be abundant and widespread on habitable terrestrial planets-oxygenic photosynthesis is plausible as a significant planetary process with a global impact. Photosynthetic O2 ...
متن کاملHydrodynamical model atmospheres and 3D spectral synthesis
1 Radiation-hydrodynamics modeling – overview In this paper we discuss three issues in the context of three-dimensional (3D) hydrodynamical model atmospheres for late-type stars, related to spectral line shifts, radiative transfer in metal-poor 3D models, and the solar oxygen abundance. To establish the context we start by giving a brief overview about the model construction, taking the radiati...
